About Pollo Road
Pollo Road is a hybrid microfed. It is all about creative writing and collaborative storytelling, mixing the the structured storytelling of angled feds with the creativity and flexibility of role play feds. Matches are determined by the overall strength of your writing and character work. Each promo is to be 750 words or less, emphasizing the quality over quantity mantra.
SCHEDULE
Pollo Road operates on a touring system, each tour begins and ends with a special event which bookend a series of house shows known as "Drive Thru" events. These events are taped and aired in a 30 minute digest form, highlighting spectacular moments, angles and storyline advancements. Following the completion of a tour, the roster is given a week or two off to reset and do it all again. The special events each require one (1) RP/promo, but you may post as you please throughout the tour - develop your character, react to the house shows, etc.
NON-PLAYABLE CHARACTERS
At the heart of our fed is our utilization of NPCs (non-playable characters) who exist to be integral parts of the promotion - making Pollo Road feel more vibrant and unpredictable. It is important to note that they are not designed to steal the spotlight or just be enhancement talent, they have been created to enhance the stories and act as supporting characters to yours. Some will be allies, providing you a partner while others will be enemies, looking to eliminate you on their own quest to the top.
FACTIONS
NPCs may also associate with factions, either leading them or providing support to ones controlled by a handler. The factions in Pollo Road all have their own unique motivations, values and beliefs when it comes to pro-wrestling. Any newcomer to the fed will likely see a lot of interest from said factions, hoping to bolster their ranks with the newest free agent.
CHAMPIONSHIPS
There are three championship titles to contend for - the Tag, the Heavyweight and the Cruiserweight. We aim to embrace a more dynamic approach by not having a set "top title", instead allowing the champions and challengers to dictate just how important their respective belt(s) will be. There are also a number of tournaments held throughout the year that carry significant weight and prestige such as the Masked League, a tournament held every other year to determine the best masked wrestler in the promotion.
OTHER NOTES
1. There is no patience for toxicity and drama here. The fed is a creative outlet for myself and all of the handlers that choose to join, so I intend to keep the atmosphere laid back and easy going. Anyone being a detriment to that will be removed regardless of their standing in the fed.
2. Our Discord serves as our out-of-character board and instant messenger system. It is not required that you have it, but it certainly makes things a whole lot easier for all involved.
3. If you're going to be absent for any reason, then gives us a simple heads up as soon as possible. If you no-show without notice, you've got a full seven days to check in or we'll assume you're done with the fed. The best way to make up for a no-show is leaving detailed feedback on the show that you missed.
4. There are also a few simple, straightforward rules to adhere to when writing your promo(s): no hate speech or discrimination, no law breaking, do not attack staff or other handlers' characters in your promos and if you want to use another handler's character in your promo, then please get their permission first.
5. Feedback for the completed tour is due by the following Sunday night at 10 PM EST and is your ticket to getting booked on the following tour. Feedback is of the utmost importance to us here, as it helps paint a vivid picture of what is connecting and what could be improved on.
